Tommy Orr of the North location is competing in his first Marathon this weekend, after little to no sport specific training. His diet has been in check and he followed his CrossFit workouts until the week prior to the race.
Our sport of fitness will carry over into any other sport, making you a better all-around athlete. Even if your not a sport specific athlete, this training will carry over in to your everyday life, giving you the confidence to try sports and activities you never thought possible.
Who in their right mind would try a full marathon the first time out?
Tommy's Results:
Start 5 Mile 10 Mile Half 20 Mile Finish 6:05:17 AM 00:52:10 01:41:04 02:13:20 03:42:35 05:07:57

Did anyone ever say that Tommy was in his right mind? I think not. He finished in a little over 5 hours, WAY TO GO TOMMY, we knew you could do it.
Also Chris K., from BGI North did the race and finished a few minutes after Tommy.
GREAT JOB GUYS
